About Us

Surf's Up Shop is owned and operated by Melissa, who was born and raised in Hawai'i and has lived in Southern California for 13 years. She created Surf's Up Shop in 2025 to connect people in search of specialized boards with their next ride to hit the waves and keep the stoke.

Melissa caught her first waves off the south shore of O'ahu at White Plains, and she's been chasing the exhilarating feeling of harnessing the power of a wave underfoot ever since. She's not the greatest surf rider, but she's often not far from the beach and has tried her share of longboards and paddleboards over the years.
